Sometimes bad things happen...
...in your life, and you don't want to write or speak about them. Yet they still remain.
I find myself listening to Bob Dylan right about now, and have just realized how great Percy's Song is. I mean, I must have listened to it in the background about a zillion and one (I was told a million times never to exaggerate) times, but have only just started to listen to the words.
Other songs I've listened to properly in the last 20 minutes or so and really enjoyed are Tombstone Blues, The Times They Are A-Changin' (You'll have to decide whether or not the Simon and Garfunkel version does it for you more) and Subterranean Homesick Blues.
Good music for just listenin' too.
The compilation is Biograph btw.
I remember a friend of my at university once said that listening to compilations of an artist's work was a waste of time - that hearing them in their arranged composition (the album (-:) was more important. Yeah, whatever. This way, I get to hear fantastic track after fantastic track

I had no idea you were a Dylan fan Dan. Just been reading Chronicles.
For listening to when feeling down, I find some of his later work very therapeutic. Particularly Time out of mind. "Not Dark Yet" is a superb track.
Sorry about the bad stuff - I'll keep you in my thoughts.
By the way, are you still using your gmail account?
